MOMENT: Haaland's father and Raiola arrive in Barcelona for talks with Laporta | La Liga | 2020/21
Erling Haaland's father Alfie landed in Barcelona on 1st April as the Catalan giants took a big first step in securing the services of the Dortmund star.
Spanish sports media reported that Mino Raiola was also in the city to discuss the forward's future.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Twitter that Raiola, Haaland's father and Joan Laporta later had 'positive' discussions.
''It was the first contact to discuss about the new Barcelona project - obviously there's nothing done or advanced, race will be long as many clubs are involved... Barça are in,'' he posted.
Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United are all thought to be chasing the 20-year-old, as his agent and father appear set to meet with each of Europe's top clubs to discuss their proposals.
Spanish media is reporting the pair will travel to Madrid next for talks at the Bernabeu.
Haaland has averaged a goal per game in his 18 months with RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund, making him one of the most sought after players in Europe.
City are keen on Haaland, and Lionel Messi, to replace Sergio Aguero, who announced last week he will leave the club in the summer.
Meanwhile, United were in talks with Dortmund over a transfer, but they broke down when the Premier League giants refused to meet the German club's demands.
